Thank you for trusting in me with your vote. I’m eager to get to work for our communities as your State Representative. Please feel free to contact me if I can ever help you in any way.
I believe our district is on the verge of great opportunities. With the proper leadership we can and will seize these opportunities. After careful consideration, I feel I can provide the leadership we need at this time.
My goal is the same as it has always been – to make our community a better place to live and raise our families. We can accomplish this by providing economic stability for all of our citizens, enhancing the skills of our workforce, and strengthening our families.
To achieve economic stability we must attract new businesses and improve our quality of life. We must clean up our towns, invest in downtown development, and establish programs that encourage business investment. We must also provide our workforce with the training they need to succeed in today’s working environment. Working together with our education system, we can develop the skills necessary for our children to live and earn a decent wage here. We must all work together to achieve that goal.
It has always been my opinion that those who can lead should lead. It is our responsibility to leave our communities better than how we found them. As a businesswoman for over 20 years, I have the experience necessary to attract entrepreneurs, grow existing businesses and build consensus with community leaders. My commitment to District 30 can be seen in my numerous volunteer efforts including The Children’s Shelter, Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, Lawrence Memorial Hospital Foundation, Community Revitalization and Beautification Committee, as well as development efforts on Main Street in Walnut Ridge.
Also, through my work with The Children’s Shelter I have seen first-hand many of the problems that stem, in part, from the rise in drug abuse and the collapse of the family unit. We must work together to eliminate this challenge, and bring stability to our families. Strong families make strong communities.
