Covid-19 Response Update for August 27, 2020:
There were 722 new cases and 7 deaths reported at today’s COVID-19 daily update. Hospitalizations have decreased by two since yesterday.

The Governor announced that the number of cases reported in school districts, colleges and universities, and many private schools will be posted on the Department of Health website www.healthy.arkansas.gov. The numbers will be updated every Monday and Thursday. To protect the privacy of students and staff, only districts with more than 5 cases will be posted. There are currently 222 active cases in public school districts.
Health Secretary Dr. Romero said today that the department continues to recommend testing for those who have knowingly been exposed even if that individual does not show any symptoms.
