The Department of Commerce is asking Arkansans to report unemployment insurance fraud.
If you received a letter stating you were approved for unemployment benefits or Pandemic Unemployment Assistance, but did not file a claim call 501-682-1058, visit www.dws.arkansas.gov, email ADWS.InternalAudit@arkansas.gov or file a police report.
It is suspected thousands of Arkansans are receiving such a letter after a fraudulent claim was made using their information. The Governor said today he received such a letter recently.
Acting Health Secretary Dr. Jose Romero urged Arkansans who are getting a test for COVID-19 to enter quarantine until directed otherwise.
It is also important to provide accurate contact information to health officials when getting tested.
