July 1-6, 2018 athletes from across Arkansas will travel to Seattle, for the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games, to represent their state with pride and excellence as they compete against the nation’s best. Our athletes and coaches have been training for months, and in July they will showcase their skills, sportsmanship, and inspirational spirit while competing in Olympic-type team and individual sports. Collectively, we ask you to “Rise With Us”.
Team Arkansas will compete in eleven sports at the Games, including unified softball, basketball, bocce, bowling, unified flag football, unified golf, powerlifting, unified soccer, swimming, track and field, stand up paddle boarding.
Arkansas athletes have a history of success; at the 2014 USA Games in New Jersey the 130 member delegation competed in seven sports and brought back 167 medals. We are sure their performance in Seattle will not disappoint!
