The House has now advanced one proposed constitutional amendment, HJR1016. This amendment would require voters to present a photo identification card before casting a ballot.
If the Senate approves HJR1016, the issue would go to voters for approval in the November 2018 election.
On Thursday, the House also passed legislation to prohibit doctors from prescribing medical marijuana through telemedicine.
The House approved HB1442, the Personal Finance and Job Readiness Act. This legislation would require the Department of Career Education and the Department of Education to write standards for a curriculum to teach students skills such as how to create a household budget, credit management, retirement planning, resume building, and interview skills.
The legislation requires the classes to be taught to students before graduation.
The House will reconvene on Friday at 10am.
